PROBLEM: How to link these two events, one of which takes place regularly, and the other one is an anniversary? We were also to develop a corporate identity for the jazz festival and a unique graphic design for both events.

IDEA: Graphically rich logo that, is improvised, constantly changing and evolving, just like jazz music.

SOLUTION: We based the identity on a graphically rich logo, that is constantly changing and evolving just like jazz. The combination of numbers 40/04, together with an exchange form of various musical instruments, double basses, saxophones, or trumpets, served as the foundation for joining the two events. The festival prints were characterised by the distinctive colours of Upper Silesia, yellow and red, which combined with black-and-white logo elements, making a coherent and visually strong whole.
